Formation :

N+です
N + ではありません
N + じゃありません

Meaning and how to use :

Express that a noun is or is not something. It’s put at the end of a Japanese sentence.
+) “です” is an affirmative structure. Usually translated: “is”.
+) “ではありません” is negative form of “です” in honorific speaking.
+) “じゃありません” is negative form of “です” in normal speaking.

For example

私はベトナム人です。
Watashi ha betonamu jin desu.
I’m a Vietnamese

ノートです。
nōto desu.
to be a notebook.

それはペンではありません。
sore ha pen de ha ari mase n.
That is not a pen.

山中先生ではありません。
sanchuu sensei de ha ari mase n.
He’s not teacher Yamanaka.

あの人は母じゃありません。
ano hito ha haha ja ari mase n.
That women is not my mom.

机じゃありません。
tsukue ja ari mase n.
It’s not a table.

Note: “じゃありません” is mostly used in verbal communication. The shorter form of “じゃありません” is “じゃない”
Short form of ”です” is “だ”.
Short form of で’はありません” is “ではない”.
